Duplication is a process more suited to lower quantities, usually below 1000. The disc is a CDR that is burnt in a similar manner to burning a disc on your home computer. Inkjet or Thermal printing processes are then used to print directly onto the CDR disc surface.
Advantages of Duplication - Faster turnaround, No set up charges.
Disadvantages of Duplication - Higher Cost per unit than replication, Not suitable for retail use.

Replication is a process more suited to higher quantities, usually above 1000. A glass master is prepared using your DDP Image or physical master disc. Discs are then created by injection molding from plastic pellets which are then covered in reflective material and stamped with the final data.

Disadvantages Of Replication - Longer Turnaround Than Replication
